Reevaluated the viability of the HBAGC name and changed its identity to BIAGC – Building Industry Association of Greater Chicago to provide inclusion and diversity within the industry markets of commercial and residential contractors.
Refreshed company logo, including colors that represent locality and strength in Chicagoland.

Challenge
The Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago HBAGC represents builders and remodelers, architects and interior designers, as well as building product suppliers in Chicagoland. They came to Brandit360 seeking a new website to serve as a trusted resource for building industry information, thus driving business opportunities to its membership. We were asked to develop a site that would improve visitors’ browsing experience, facilitate networking, provide educational opportunities and integrate MemberZone, a third-party member management tool.

Strategy
After discussions with the BIAGC, we prepared a technical document describing the site’s proposed functionality. Next, we thoroughly analyzed the previous website to define the many pathways visitors could follow. With this information, we designed the new site architecture and user experience.
Persona – Putting a human face to building industry resources.
The previous BIAGC website was seen as cold and mechanical. The new design represents the Association’s true personality: it focuses on the people and professionalism of the Association. In addition, it validates why visitors come to the site: for networking, advocacy, and knowledge.
Function – Connecting visitors to building industry experts.
Our improved search functionality makes it far more accessible and faster for site visitors to find the Chicago area businesses that provide specific building services and products.
Connection – Connecting members to their peers
The BIAGC’s Events and Directory sections help members find other members, gain networking opportunities, and develop potential partnerships. In addition, through industry events, members can grow their businesses and appreciate the value of their membership.
Advocacy & Education
Because the building trades are constantly evolving and local codes are so complex, the BIAGC site provides access to industry-sanctioned learning opportunities. Through the site, members can continually remain up-to-date.
