Your business’ online presence could be suffering
What is TikTok?
“TikTok is the leading destination for short-form mobile video. Our mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy.” – says TikTok. On average, there are about 689 million active users worldwide, and has been downloaded over 2 billion times in the app store.
What are Reels?
According to Instagram, Reels is “a new way to create and discover short, entertaining videos on Instagram.” Similar to TikTok, Reels provides a platform for creators to make short videos to meet a wide range of audiences.
Here’s the problem…
In the beginning, people could easily download and transfer their TikTok videos over to Instagram. However, because Instagram is growing its own video-creating platform through Reels, they will no longer be promoting any other platform.
This means that businesses will have a harder time finding ROI in their Reels if the video is coming from another platform. TikTok is specifically a target in Instagram’s algorithm because of the added watermarks to any of its downloaded videos.
What does this mean for businesses online?
Something that we, as Brandit360, strive to do is create content that is distinguished for each social media platform. This means that what we post on one platform won’t be copied and pasted to the next. Why would you follow someone on Facebook when the same content is being posted on their Instagram? Not only does this give us and our clients a well-rounded look, but it grows our exposure as well.
Creating distinguished content for each social media platform takes time (and money). This presents a challenge to businesses that may not have the ability to manage their socials on top of creating new video content for each platform.
That’s why we encourage businesses to hire professionals in this field so that they can focus on their business, not the changing and growing social media. Click here to learn more about the different social media packages we offer to better serve our clients.
